Having a child with severe nut and dairy allergies is pretty stressful. We always pack antihistamine and my son's Epi pens and have to check everything he is eating. Most of the places we have visited as a family have been OK and we've always found food establishments to be understanding of his allergies and usually they are very accommodating.
My husband, having grown up in Hong Kong, envisioned difficulties finding safe food for our son. We definitely had to avoid all the street food places (these are really good so it was a shame!) and even some of the more high end restaurants were unable to say they were allergy safe.
Below I have provided a list of where we ate on our trip to HK.
*PLEASE NOTE this information is NOT to be taken as absolute and please check for allergies before you eat and always mention allergies to the restaurant staff/chefs to make them aware*
